public abstract class PointFrame
extends javax.swing.JFrame

JFrame with the ability to render plots of points plotted in up to nine different colours. The number of points displayed must be known in advance. Closing the window kills the program.

Constructor Detail

PointFrame

public PointFrame(java.lang.String title,
                  int width,
                  int height,
                  int x_offset,
                  int y_offset,
                  double xmin,
                  double xmax,
                  double ymin,
                  double ymax,
                  int nPoints,
                  boolean fill)

Constructor. The parameter fill controls if the the point array is filled using a call to fillPoints(). Conceivably a subclass might have to allocate its own structure before fillPoints() can be called. Then turn off the flag fill and call fillPoints() from the subclass constructor once everything is in place.

This constructor draws no axes, only points (x,y) with x\in[xmin,xmax], y\in[ymin,ymax] will be displayed.

Parameters:
title - short legend
width - width of display rectangle
height - height of display rectangle
x_offset - x-inset of display rectangle in window
y_offset - y-inset of display rectangle in window
fill - wether or not the point array is filled by a call to fillPoints().

PointFrame

public PointFrame(java.lang.String title,
                  int width,
                  int height,
                  int x_offset,
                  int y_offset,
                  double xmin,
                  double xmax,
                  double ymin,
                  double ymax,
                  int nPoints,
                  boolean fill,
                  double x0,
                  double y0,
                  java.awt.Color axesColor)

Same as PointFrame(String,int,int,int,int,double,double, double,double,int,boolean) except that axes x=x0 and y=y0 are drawn in color axesColor

Method Detail

nextPoint

public abstract Point nextPoint()
THE POINT ARRAY

fillPoints

public void fillPoints()

saveAsJPEG

public void saveAsJPEG(java.lang.String filename)

Saves the plot in as a JPEG file.

main

public static void main(java.lang.String[] args)
Test program. Displays a set of 4 new lognormal asset paths whenever the window is clicked. Closing the window kills the program.
