To use this companion CD-ROM to its fullest potential you should either install or have copies of Netscape 4.05 or  Internet Explorer 4.01 running on a Pentium or PowerPC 

Download the latest compatible browsers:
   for Netscape 4.06 or later click here
    for Microsoft IE 4.01 or later click here

Next install QuickTime 3.02, included on this disc, by double clicking "qt3win.exe" on your CD-ROM.  This setup file will install plug-ins for your browser to enable the viewing of movies.  You can also download the latest versions at the sites below.

Download the latest Quicktime update:
    for Windows 95/98
     for MacOS PowerPC

Before going to the Practice Center you should install the FinCoach™ application on to your hard drive:

Open the "fincoach" folder on your CD-ROM and run "setup.exe" Be sure to select the appropriate version (A,B,or C) for your text when prompted.

note: FinCoach™ is not compatible with WindowsNT or MacOS

To ensure smooth video performance click on the rightmost arrow of the movie controller when you play your first video.

When playing movies make sure you are in the browser window that states "CD-ROM edition" in the masthead. Certain portions of this program will open a new window into the online edition of the Finance Center where movie playback is not enabled.
