Commercial banks are in the business of attracting deposits from company and individuals just like you or I. In turn they make their money by loaning this money out at a rate higher than they pay you on your deposit. If you took a job in comercial banking you would most likely service depositers in a branch bank or alternatively you would help make loans by analyzing applications for credit.
